Petaluma Art and Garden Festival

Wine and music flowed on Kentucky Street today as vintners, craftspeople, artists, and landscape artists set up booths and entertained Sunday strollers at Petaluma's Art and Garden Festival.

Pirates' Midnight Raid on Petaluma

Pirates of all ages raised their colors in downtown Petaluma early this morning to celebrate the 12:01 am opening of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

Costumed movie fans gathered as early as 8 pm Thursday outside Boulevard Cinema, and they formed a chaotic line that extended down C Street and around the corner as the midnight hour drew near.

Reviews of the movie were mixed as droopy-eyed buccaneers filed out of the theater around 2:45 am. Overheard were people asking, "what was it about?" "Couldn't it have been a little shorter?" But for most the payoff was to see their favorite Pirate-Franchise stars in action again on the screen.
